Lead Translator
Greetings! You seem to be on top of the translation stuff, so how would you like to be the Lead Translator? Your job would be to coordinate the different translators and make sure that pages are translated and that they work. Harej 15:17, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- Could do that, but a bit busy over the next month. After 8th August - Volunteering for everything you may need. Deror avi 15:43, 6 July 2011 (UTC)
- Thank you! Starting after August 8 will probably be good. Harej 02:42, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
Request to Change Title of Proposed Wikimania Submission
Hi Deror:
I made a small mistake when I submitted my proposal for the "History of The Meredith Kercher Article." If I'd done it the correct way it would show up as "Submissions/History of The Meredith Kercher Article." If there's anyway to correct this minor error, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Changed title and updated abstract
Hej, Ralf and I changed the title and abstract of his original submission to make it a bit more general: Submissions/Wikipedian among Professionals. --Prolineserver (talk) 18:39, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
Sumbmission classification
Hi Deror,
(Sorry to bother you with my little question, with all the work you surely have in reviewing all these submissions :)
I noticed you classified mine under “GLAM”. I would have thought it falls more under the “Legal” umbrella, like the Bridgeman panel for example?
Of course, I do not really know what this classification entails − for all I know, it may just be a convenient tool for the review committee, and nothing to wonder for wannabe speakers :-) And I do not have any strong opinion on this, I was just wondering your reasons.
Good luck with all the review work!

- My feeling was that the target audience of the lecture was the hands-on people who do glam, and that it should be part of a GLAM session, and less as part of a Legal session (which will have less of a GLAM audience). Deror avi (talk) 07:07, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
Late submissions category
Sorry for the inconvenience. I did not realize that the category of the template automatically does that work. Best.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 13:03, 22 March 2012 (UTC)
Submission number
Hi Deror. I already reached No. 99 when finishing with the categorization of the submissions about WikiCulture and Community. We should probably use the secondary categories to reduce them under 100 and to have it done properly. Best regards.--Kiril Simeonovski (talk) 15:08, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
I think you could seperate Wikiwomen from WikiCulture then it will be OK with the numbering, I guess. OrsolyaVirág (talk) 17:01, 24 March 2012 (UTC)

Workshop --> Presentation
Hi Deror, how are you? It was really nice to meet you at GLAMAmsterdam. I have a question, maybe you can help me with. I submitted a paper for Wikimania titled Submissions/The Power of Wikipedia: Legitimacy and Territorial Control. I sow it in the Schedule/Submission review and I noticed that it is included in the workshops. I actually submitted a simple 25 minutes presentation. I was wondering who I should contact about it or if it was a selection committee decision to make it into a workshop. Thank you very much and looking forward to having the chance to meet you again. all the best. Iolanda/--Iopensa (talk) 16:11, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Submission withdrawn
Hello,
Our submission was marked as withdrawn. It should be a mistake. I will not be able to attend Wikimania. But my colleague (Thomas) will go to Wikimania. He as completed the confirmation on Google docs. Should we contact someone else ? ~Pyb (talk) 19:53, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
- Our apologies for the mix up. I am checking with the program committee to see where it will go in the schedule. Deror or one of us will get back to you soon. Cheers. Aude (talk) 20:03, 25 May 2012 (UTC)
