Hi Phanuel, it seems to me that this would benefit from some informal discussion and brainstorming more than a lecture-style presentation. I don't know if it's the right chunk-size to drive a workshop all by itself. But there are definitely opportunities to hole up in a room or at a table for a meal. I would ideally like to see this compared with any other stories of good users who were banned for whatever reason -- this is a community norm that we can fix. Sj (talk) 21:35, 21 March 2012 (UTC)
- Hi SJ. Thanks for the feedback. I definitely have enough material for a 20 minute presentation and it's all of substance. I believe that what happened here was a big deal. It turns out that one of the admins who was blocking everyone has been writing off-Wiki about this topic with a very strong POV.
- I'd love to meet with other editors who feel they were unjustly banned. I think in all these cases, there is a grey area. When there's a disagreement, somebody can always say there's a battleground, or a failure to assume good faith, or an effort to right great wrongs. One point I'll make is that when you have two camps, it doesn't work for one side to block everyone on the other side, and this is exactly what happened on the MoMK topic.
- I have quite a bit of experience in this type of presentation. I believe the material I have will be quite interesting. I'm certainly available for any sort of informal workshop or one on one after the presentation. PhanuelB (talk) 15:24, 24 March 2012 (UTC)
