Wikimania Takes Manhattan/Schedule
A tentative schedule of activities for Wikimania Takes Manhattan.
Earlycomers: July 1-5
- July 4:
- 11am meetup at West Eighth Street – New York Aquarium subway stop (the main Coney Island stop will be hyper-crowded), walk to Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest and experience Coney Island
- WARNING: Quite optional event, as this is very crowded, and there is a major chance you won't actually find the group in all the crowds. User:Pharos will be carrying a thin green bamboo pole to get a better chance for finding each other.
- Sign-up for Coney Island:

- Invertzoo (talk) 17:22, 1 July 2012 (UTC) I will probably try to attend so that I can make sure that the "powers that be" at AMNH know I am a local Wikipedian as well as a museum volunteer. However, I do have a security pass to AMNH so I will probably be able to go along on the tour without being on the "official list", but also, if necessary, if more people show up than are on the official list, I can get 5 people into the museum for free plus free tickets to the special exhibits and films etc (not including the behind the scenes tour).
Definitely for the evening stuff. Probably for the daytime stuff, assuming it doesn't start too early - ideally 11 or later. Fluffernutter (talk) 20:20, 2 July 2012 (UTC)Not going to make it to Natural History. Hoping to make it to the Met and/or to dinner.
