Abstract (at least 300 words to describe your proposal)
The laws forming the foundation of the intellectual property (IP) and entertainment industries are constantly changing. Many changes have taken place in the last few years that may directly and/or indirectly affect wiki content, wiki subscribers, and other third parties. Knowledge is the most powerful tool we possess as a Wiki community. Each Wiki contribution continues to feed into the empowerment cycle for generations to come. The IP/Entertainment panel/presentation is designed to enlighted the Wiki community as to which direction the past and current IP and entertainment laws are taking us into the future. The more we know, the more pitfalls we can avoid, and the more achievements we can make as we forge ahead. Our topics may cover copyright, trademark, infringement, enforcement, ICANN, regulatory, and monetization issues.
